Track Your Ideas Using LyricWell

Keeping a Lyric Idea Log

Staring at a blank page with no idea what to write is a tough position, but song ideas are all around us. Most of the time when you sit down to write it should be to work on existing idea. A lot of ideas come to mind when you’re not sitting down to write, like when you’re taking a shower, listening to a podcast, or reading a book. Keep a log of your lyric ideas so you can make the most of your writing time. Then when you sit down to write, all you have to do is expand those ideas.

Track Your Ideas Using LyricWell

LyricWell has two ways to track ideas. One is through the daily word list. That is a place to keep a list of words that interest you. Maybe you heard a phrase or a group of words that you’d like to use at a later date. The word list is a great place to keep those words.

The second is a notebook. That is an album that is more of a scratch pad to put songs that don’t fit anywhere else yet. You might have a song name, a few lines, or just an idea for a song. Store that in your LyricWell notebook.

Don’t let those ideas be forgotten. Store them somewhere so you can come back to them later.
