We were swimming at a pool yesterday and my oldest son said something that surprised me. He had jumped in quite a bit but it’s something that’s relatively new to him. He said:
“If I’m a little afraid to jump in, I just ignore my feelings and do a little hop. When I’m in the air, I realize there’s no turning back.”
If only we could all face our fears like that. Often times even the little fears are holding us back from doing something, and just a little action could show us that those fears aren’t as scary as they seem. Try doing a little hop today, then your fear will shrink and you can experience something new. How will you hop today?
